Australia will be the first country to ban the use of engineered stone, a hard stop for the dangerous product will come into effect from July 1st 2024. 

All states and territories agreeing to ban the use of engineered stone, National Secretary for the CFMEU Zac Smith told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons the ban will save lives.

“It’s a significant day for the workers in that sector who have been forced to use a product, a product which has been killing them far too young.
