The Mayor of New York, state police and media outlets all over the world are now weighing in on whether or not Harry and Meghan were in danger while being dogged by paparazzi after leaving a charity event.

The pair say they were pursued by cameras for more than two hours, causing threatening conditions that raised memories of the tragic accident that took Princess Diana’s life.

But entertainment guru Peter Ford told Millsy and Karel on 6PR Breakfast he questioned the magnitude  of the danger they were in.

“If you’ve ever been to Manhattan at ten o’clock at night, it’s usually gridlock traffic, so it’s just not possible to have a high-speed chase in the way most of us would think about,” Mr Ford said.
