Hastie, Keogh double down on Israel support amid global tension

In this week’s edition of Behind Party Lines with Federal politicians Andrew Hastie and Matt Keogh, each respective political party’s lines have once again been made clear: Australia stands with Israel.

The Federal Members for Canning and Burt talked to Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings about how disappointed they were with the Greens and independents who refused to sign on to the Federal Government’s unequivocal support for Israel’s actions.

I think it’s an appalling move by the Greens and also the two independents who have joined with them in adding an amendment and effectively accusing Israel of war crimes,” Mr Hastie said.

I just couldn’t see that the context of the decades of conflict in relation to the lands of Palestine really fit in at the moment, because clearly what Hamas did was just a pure act of terrorism.”
