Helmets won’t help
Research has found the late Graham “Polly” Farmer experienced brain trauma from years of head knocks from playing AFL; despite some people suggesting the use of helmets in Aussie Rules, Brain Injury Australia says it’s unlikely to help with any provention.
“There isn’t a helmet, that I know of and certainly the group knows of, anywhere in the universe that can genuinely claim to be protective against concussions,” Nick Rushworth, chief executive of Brain Injury Australia told 6PR Breakfast.
