‘Hiding in plain sight’: Retirement living director on the affordability of retirement village units compared to the traditional housing market
Fresh data released today highlighted the affordability of units in retirement villages compared to Australia’s traditional and otherwise unaffordable housing market.
Retirement Living Council Executive Director Daniel Gannon joined 6PR Mornings to discuss the advantages purchasing units in retirement villages for Australians.
“Residents on average paying $559,000 to move in, 43% cheaper then the median house prices where these villages are located.” Gannon said on 6PR Mornings.

“It also frees up houses in the middle of the market for young home buyers too.”
