Fifty thousand more construction workers are needed by 2026 to meet demand in WA.

Matt Pollock from the Master Builders Association WA spoke to 6PR Afternoons host Julie-anne Sprague about how bricklayers are in such high demand that they are charging $3 per brick.

“We’ve been managing skill shortages in the construction industry for several years now, and to put it simply, we just need more boots on the ground,” he said.
