Hollywood legend Doris Day has passed away in her Californian home at the age of 97.

With her girl-next-door appearance, angelic voice and endless talent, Doris Day was popular with many fans around the world and many generations adored her.

Our US correspondent, Bob Tarlau, brought us the sad news of Ms Day’s death as we reminisced about her amazing career that started in 1945.
