In 2017, 21-year-old Zac Jones’ spiral of drug and alcohol addiction ended.

Why? He nearly killed his best mates in a car crash, leading to a two-year prison stint. It was there he penned 50 songs and, with the help of his mum, Jane (both pictured above), a book about his story and recovery, Why The Fallen.

“At that time in my life, I was a really bad drug addict, I would go as far as to say a junkie,” he told Steve Mills on Millsy at Midday.

“I have to live with what I did for the rest of my life and I do feel an incredible amount of guilt and shame, and it’s not lessened by the fact that I didn’t kill anybody.”
