Education expert and parenting author Maggie Dent has credited her smart watch with potentially saving her life.

She got the Fitbit around Christmas and was surprised to find it alerting her of a sky high resting heart rate of 144 beats per minute.

Ms Dent told Millsy and Karl even though she felt fine it turned out she had a heart condition that can lead to a stroke if left untreated.

“I felt completely normal – but the ED doctor said to me this is why it’s an invisible killer of woman as we don’t know it’s happening,” Ms Dent said on 6PR Breakfast.
