How long will the smoke haze blanketing Perth last?

Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Jessica Lingard has told 6PR Breakfast the smoke haze over Perth will linger for another couple of hours on Tuesday morning and hopefully clear for good by Thursday.
She told host Gareth Parker the blanket cover will likely return Wednesday morning, but not be as smoky as today.
“It will be less likely from Thursday morning onwards, but there could still be a bit of a smoky smell around tomorrow,” Ms Lingard said.
6PR listener Paul told Parker he was in the respiratory ward at Sir Charlies Gairdner Hospital and said he was quite amazed that the “whole ward smelled of smoke”.
“I spent the night there and was surprised there wasn’t some sort of filtration system,” he said.
