Around 20 years ago, Quentin Long took a trip to WA’s north with his English girlfriend at the time. After years of working and travelling overseas, a plane ride over the Kimberley made him realise he’d been sleeping on how truly special his own backyard really was.

That moment of staring down at the deep reds and clear blues of the Kimberley, sparked an idea that turned into Australia’s top travel publication.
