A mainstay if Claremont Quarter’s eclectic clientele has cried foul after being kicked out of the public mall because of his pet bird.

As reported in the Subiaco Post, Eddie Hackford is one of many iconic characters around the area – almost as iconic as his pet American sun conure, Sunny.

But last week Eddie and Sunny were ejected from the area by security, allegedly after complaints from another customer.

“She told me she ways going to do something about it; all of a sudden the Claremont Council had gotten onto it, and I was being told I could be prosecuted for sitting there,” Mr Hackford said.
