I’m scared I could catch COVID again: Coronavirus survivor
Back in March a Perth mother pleaded with the public to listen to the health advice after her 41-year-old daughter contracted COVID-19 while on a cruise ship.
Kiri-Lee Ryder was in an induced coma when her mother Carlene put out a public warning that Coronavirus “can strike anybody in the prime of their life”.
Today Ms Ryder is back home but suffers with ongoing side effects, such as nerve damage on the left side of her body.
She told 6PR Breakfast she also experiences short-term memory loss and it’s affected her speech.
“It is quite scary not knowing if I can catch COVID again, I barely survived the first time,” Ms Ryder told Steve and Baz.
