‘I’m so excited’: Constable starts his first shift for WA Police at 55 years old

Have you ever thought about changing careers to something completely different?
Constable Michael Sharpe used to work in automotive sales and decided to make a career change at 55.
Michael is due to start his first shift on Monday morning in his dream job as a police constable for the Western Australian Police Force.
He spoke to Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast and explained that his father was a policeman and he always wanted to be too.
“There’s always been that inner calling that I wanted to be a police officer,” he said.
“I want to help people and help the community,
“But I thought joining the WA police force there’s a much bigger agency, and I’m so excited to get the opportunity to do that.”
