International student numbers are already greater than they were in 2019, with 655,000 student visa holders as of July – 200,000 more than at the beginning of 2023.

Study Perth CEO Derryn Belford told Julie-anne Sprague on 6PR’s Perth Live she’s very pleased with the number of students choosing to study in Perth, but the current housing market creates difficulties in finding places for the students to reside.
