Tourism Western Australia is urging people to not cancel their travel bookings to the Kimberley region.

This comes after reports of tourism operators receiving high levels of cancellation due to the recent floods in the region.

Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall told 6PR Afternoons people should not cancel their holiday based on media coverage of the floods.

“Get more information before you cancel your holiday,” said Mr Hall.

“Speak to your tourism operators to find out the latest information.”
