In the United States having a nap at work is making a comeback, however, does having a nap actually make you more productive?

Sleep expert Deb Herdman told 6PR Afternoons host Russell Collett having a nap is only productive if it’s for less than half an hour and at least six hours before you go to sleep.

“It can help you improve your concentration for up to about three hours after you wake up,” says Ms Herdman.

“However it can affect your nighttime sleep.” She continued.
