A controversial catch on the boundary by Australian cricketer, Michael Neser, during Brisbane Heat’s 15-run win over the Sydney Sixers, has been criticised by fans.

The juggled catch was deemed legal, despite Neser making the catch both inside and outside the boundary rope.

Associate Dean of Sport at Holmesglen and Adjunct Professor at Swinburne University Dr Sam Duncan explained the rule to 6PR Afternoons which has divided the public.

“It was all fair and legal… it was a legitimate catch,” said Dr Duncan.
