‘It’s just not worth it’: Hugh Jackman’s emotional plea after cancer scare
Hugh Jackman has made a plea to fans to ensure they wear sunscreen and avoid tanning after having two biopsies on his face.
The actor said he was checked for Basal Cell Carcinoma after his doctor noticed signs of potential skin cancer on his face.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford said on 6PR Breakfast Mr Jackman likely took to social media to avoid any “drama” over the announcement, as well as sending a positive message.
“We’ve been down this path with Hugh several times now,” he said.

Peter Ford also discussed the massive funeral yesterday for legendary TV executive Brian Walsh.
You’ve heard me talk about my basal cell carcinomas before. And I’m going to keep talking about them, if need be. If just one person remembers to put on sunscreen with a high SPF, I’m happy. pic.twitter.com/J1srAzWQt0
