Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast that a directive from above at Channel 10 has said that they will not recognise Australia Day.

“People are being encouraged not to have a public holiday on January 26th and to actually turn up for work,” Peter Ford said.

“It’s an interesting thing and I am fascinated to see how far they take it – will they knock back any advertising dollar associated with Australia Day or how will the news service cover Australia Day, will they just pretend it is not happening?”
