Perth’s vacancy rate is at a record low of 0.3 percent making it one of the most competitive cities for tenants in Australia.

Domain’s latest rent report shows Australia needs up to 70,000 new rentals to balance out the rental market.

Domain Chief of Research and Economics Dr Nicola Powell told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live they estimate 6000 rentals are required to balance the vacancy rate.
