‘It’s undeniable’: Protesters deface Parliament House with Woodside logo
Environmental protestors against a Woodside project on the Burrup Peninsula have struck again by spray-painting the oil and gas giant’s logo on the front doors of State Parliament.
It’s the third protest of its kind in recent months after the perspex casing covering a Frederick McCubbin painting at the Art Gallery was defaced, and Woodside’s office building in the CBD was graffitied.
Fellow protestor Joana Partyka told Gary Adshead the action is necessary.
“Parliament House was targeted because Woodside is one of the government’s biggest sponsors so our intention was to put their logo on the front doors as Woodside puts their logo on every entity they sponsor, so why not Parliament House?” Joanna told Gary.
