Listeners have recently contacted 6PR Breakfast over a fake page that impersonates the program and scams people online.

The page claims to give Facebook users a chance to win $1000, but in reality, it aims to collect details and scam them.

Gareth Parker told listeners that despite efforts to take down the page, the social media service had done nothing to rectify the issue.

“If you get a message like that on Facebook, it’s not from me, it’s not from us,” he said.

“I’m really angry about it because on Friday, we attempted to tell Facebook,

“It’s now Monday morning – what do you reckon they’ve done about it? “Jack sh*t is what they’ve done about it.”
