6PR Breakfast host Karl Langdon had the team shocked when he arrived at work on Monday morning, as his face was bright red with what appeared to be an extreme sunburn.

Karl adamant that he sat in the shade on Sunday while watching colts footy, Millsy suggested that he most likely got ‘wind burnt,’ and in true Karl fashion he said wind burns are a myth.

Cancer Council of WA SunSmart Manager Sally Blane was called in to settle the debate.

“Wind burns are a total myth – if you were sitting in the shade without sunscreen or long sleeves you can still get burnt, shade doesn’t block all UV,” Ms Blane told Millsy and Karl.
