A year after his controversial exit from the WA Liberals, Ken Wyatt AM talks to Julie-anne Sprague about how he became such an iconic figure in West Australian politics, and how the landscape has changed.

He attributes his success to influences from his childhood, stating, “Your parents influence you, but your teachers also have profound impacts, because of those three [teachers] I ended up in federal parliament.”

When reflecting on his political career, Mr Wyatt said, “It was tough but was a great journey.”
