Kobe Bryant dies in helicopter crash
NBA legend Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash. Bryant scored 33,644 points throughout his NBA career with the LA Lakers.
LA Police confirmed nine people died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, north west of Los Angeles, it was later confirmed Bryant and his daughter Gianna were two of the victims.

Only hours before now-Laker Lebron James has overtaken Bryant as the third highest all-time career scorer in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant was also an Academy Award winner after his poem he penned about his retirement from his game, Dear Basketball, was turned into an animation.
