Libs make Roe 8 and 9 an election issue
The State Opposition Leader says Roe 8 and 9 is needed and will form part of their COVID-19 recovery plan should they win the next election.
“That’s 10,000 jobs that will go to local West Australian construction workers,’ said Ms Harvey
“It’s needed for commuters in the south-metro, it will reduce their commute time by 21 per cent.
“That is a significant amount of time people can be spending with their family or playing sport or doing anything other than sitting in congestion.”
On the topic of borders, Ms Harvey said without seeing the health advice the Premier is using, she cannot make an election commitment to bring down the hard border should they win.
“We’ve been calling on the Government to release all of the medical advice and the various different options the Chief Health Officer would be putting to the Premier,” said Ms Harvey
“It’s not good enough to just say ‘if I open the border people will die.’
“We actually need to understand what the advice is.”
