Bottle shops in the city are bearing the brunt of anti-social behaviour by being forced to close.

CEO of the Liquor Stores Association of Western Australia, Peter Peck, told Gary Adshead WA Police are unfairly issuing 114 closure notices in an effort to prevent anti-social behaviour.

One store near Willington Square had to shut up shop twice last week due to fighting nearby.

“We’re more interested in not pointing fingers, what we really want is all the groups to come together and work out a better solution,” Mr Peck said.
