Local councillor’s outrageous dummy spit caught on Zoom
A local councillor has had one almighty dummy spit at a zoom council meeting last week.
Cambridge councillor Rod Bradley’s outrageous outburst on April 26 was played on 6PR Breakfast and came after a last-minute request to discuss the payment of an invoice at the conclusion of the almost four-hour meeting.
“I’m a busy person and I don’t need this, we just don’t need this… I can’t cope with this, this is a nonsense,” Cr Bradley says in the meeting.
Cr Bradley (pictured top left in the meeting) wasn’t happy about the lack of information in front of him and is then heard banging his desk repeatedly, before flicking his lamp on and off in disgust and ignoring the calls of an exasperated mayor Keri Shannon to settle down, as she desperately tries to get an unnamed person to turn off his microphone after “another desk-banging exercise”.
Councillor Bradley later responded on air to Breakfast host Gareth Parker about the shocking audio of him from the council meeting.
“It could’ve been left for the following month … I don’t think that’s any sort of way to run a business, let alone a local government,” he told Parker, who three times tried to thank the councillor for coming on air and end the interview, before Cr Bradley finally hung up.
Cr Bradley has been on the council since 2003 and is running for the seat of Swan for the WA Party this federal election.
