Call to ban the ‘great harm’ caused by scratchies and lotteries
A gambling consumer protection advocate is calling for lotteries and instant scratch tickets to be included in the same law that bans the use of credit cards for online gambling.
Financial Counselling Australia’s Director of Policy and Campaigns Lauren Levin told Oly Peterson on 6PR’s Perth Live lotteries are the most used gambling product globally, causing great harm to its users.
“We do see harm, lotteries harm people and we just want the same consistent approach to consumer protection for everyone,” Levin said.
