West Coast Captain Luke Shuey is hopeful a new approach to his latest injury setback will hold the key to him remaining on the field for the long term.

Shuey hasn’t played since injuring his ankle and hamstring in Round 6 against Port Adelaide but will make his return this week against Adelaide.

The 33-year old says a higher risk approach to his rehab program has been exciting.

“It’s been a bit refreshing to do a completely different rehab program to what I’ve been doing for the past 3 years, and hopefully find some success with it.” Shuey said.
