Tennis great, Margaret Court, received a special trophy at the Australian Open last night to mark 50 years since she won the Grand Slam.

Court went on to win all four major tennis tournaments in 1970 and she still holds the all-time record for 24 Grand Slam titles in her career.

Last night she was honoured in a ceremony at Rod Laver Arena and handed the large trophy by Rod Laver himself.

“It’s just great to get around a lot of people that you know and we talk old times and we were always good friends back there, particularly the Aussies. I trained with the Lavers…” Court told 6PR Breakfast.
