Mettam uses Heritage Act as fodder for Voice backflip

WA Liberal Party leader Libby Mettam has accused the Federal Government of obfuscation and labelled the confusion over the state Aboriginal Heritage Laws in reasoning her decision to switch her support on the Voice.
Ms Mettam vehemently and passionately argued for the Yes vote in the Voice to Parliament Referendum in April, saying it was an important factor in Indigenous recognition.
Ms Mettam appeared on 6PR Mornings with Gary Adshead to try and defend her decision.

“This is not about politics,” Ms Mettam said.
“But I have to take an approach that is in response to an experience that we have just had.”
