The amount of customer’s identifications stolen in the Latitude Financial hack is exponentially worse than initially reported, according to the financial services company.

Latitude Financial reported to the Australian Stock Exchange today and reported the number of driver’s licenses stolen is 40 times more than original reports showed.

Monash University cyber security expert Nigel Phair told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings business’ habit of storing customer information for long periods of time provided many vulnerabilities to potential hackers.
