Aboriginal Affairs Minister Tony Buti has urged homeowners and farmers to take a step back from concerns the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act will affect their ability to make changes to their land.

Esperance farmer Natalie Bowman told Gary Adshead on 6PR Mornings she was already aware of her responsibilities for sites on her land, but the guidelines under the act made it more complicated.

“How do I know there’s no risk to Aboriginal cultural heritage? How do I know where it is, how do I find that out,” Ms Bowman said.
