The music history museum, ‘The Vault’ in Melbourne, will present Molly Meldrum with a cake for his 80th birthday on Friday.

It will be his first appearance since the mooning incident at the Elton John concert.

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 6PR Breakfast the press release has clearly stated that Molly will not be speaking to the media.

“He is clearly being muzzled, and I think that’s a shame because I don’t think he needs a muzzle, he needs a new belt buckle,” Mr Ford said.
