On the eve of another health insurance premium increase, new research reveals 26 per cent of customers in WA have considered downgrading or cancelling their cover, due to cost-of-living pressures.

iSelect spokesperson Sophie Ryan told Jamie Burnett on Perth Live the rise in the cost of living has seen more and more WA residents cancelling their insurance in order to get by.

Ms Ryan said many health funds would be raising the costs of insurance premiums on April 1, and urged customers to take the time and research their policies.
