New research suggests more and more Australians are becoming more comfortable with working past retirement age – for better or worse.

Seven out of ten Australians now see work as an “inevitable” part of getting older, as the rising cost of living and ever-existing desire for a better lifestyle gets stronger.

“Financial security is absolutely a priority, but they’re also looking to use their skills and knowledge; they want to stay active for a sense of purpose,” Ms Hardie said.
