The WA Football Commission will establish a multi-million dollar insurance fund to support players who have suffered life-threatening injuries.

Subiaco legend Brian Sierakowski told Karl and Millsy he came up with the planned fund in conjunction with the WAFL after originally approaching the AFL with the plan.

“But the AFL weren’t interested at all, and I put it to them that this was an opportunity to show good governance,” he said.
