AFP using ‘Technology Detection Dogs’ at mushroom death property
UPDATE: Australian Federal Police are using “Technology Detection Dogs” to search the property of Erin Patterson, who has been arrested in relation to the death of three people following a lunch in which she reportedly served wild mushrooms.
Technology detection dogs are specifically used to find memory storage devices such as USBs, hard drives, mobile phones, storage device cards and SIM cards, according to the AFP.
Detective Inspector Dean Thomas addressed media from the property, syaing he was unaware of a police investigation that had garnered so much public attention.
“This arrest is just the next step in what has been a complex and thorough investigation,” Det. Ins. Thomas said.

Erin Patterson, the woman at the centre of the poisonous mushroom meal that resulted in the deaths of three people in Gippsland, has been arrested.
Nine News reporter Gillian Lantouris told Millsy and Karl on 6PR Breakfast police raided Ms Patterson’s home not long after 8am Victoria time.
“They had detector dogs with them; she’s currently being questioned at a local police station,” Ms Lantouris said.
