New Fitzroy River ferry labelled ‘appalling’ and ‘pathetic’
A new ferry service has been introduced in the flood-ravaged Kimberley capable of taking six light vehicles across the Fitzroy River.
The service aims to replace the bridge destroyed by recent floods, but Liberal MP Neil Thomson believes the service is “pathetic”.
Mr Thomson told 6PR Afternoons the ferry is “appalling”.
“It’s not much bigger than a fishing tinny,” said Mr Thomson.
“It’s another appalling example of a raw deal that the people in the Kimberley get from the State Government.”
