The new knife search legislation will take effect this summer.

Allan Adams, Deputy Commissioner of WA Police, discussed with 6PR’s Gary Adshead how this new power will be executed.

“We are looking forward to taking a whole heap of dangerous weapons off individuals who are carrying them around, which could ultimately lead to significant criminal offences,” he said.
