News research is showing traffic pollution is potentially causing over 11,000 death in Australia each year, five times higher than previously estimated and 10 times higher than Australia’s road toll.

Doctors for the Environment Australia GP and spokesperson Dr Vicki Kotsirilos told 6PR Afternoons vehicle pollution is causing people to live significantly shorter lives.

“We need to bring in the supply of electric vehicles faster.”
