New vaccine for bee stings
Australian scientists say they’ve successfully tested a new vaccine for people who are stung by bees. Current bee venom therapy requires 50 injections over three years.
A South Australian vaccine expert says they’ve added a plant based sugar to the current vaccine and says their now in the testing stage.
“Essentially [it] works like turbo-charger, it speeds up the vaccine and makes it more effective,” Professor Nikolai Petrovski told 6PR Breakfast.
