Liberal heavyweight Nick Goiran says he respects and supports any decision from newly elected leader Libby Mettam to reset the party.

Ms Mettam announced she intends to strip Mr Goiran of his shadow portfolios and has asked him to relinquish the role voluntarily.

Mr Goiran told Gary Adsehad he will not dispute the decision.

“Whenever there is a leadership change leaders have the opportunity to decide who are going to be their starting line-up … Libby has made a call on that, and I respect that.”
