No baby or toddler foods sold in Australian stores meet WHO standards
A new study led by the George Institute for Global Health found not one infant or toddler food product stocked in Australian supermarkets meets the World Health Organisation (WHO) standards.
George Institute for Global Health dietitian and research fellow Dr Daisy Coyle told 6PR Mornings host Gary Adshead the study results were “alarming”.
“Overall, no products met these benchmarks… these benchmarks cover nutrition, and marketing and promotional criteria,” Dr Coyle said.
