Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has dogmatically confirmed there will be no changes in WA’s GST revenue, despite ongoing criticism from opposition.

Mr Albanese is in WA to shore up the Federal Government’s support in the state as Opposition leader Peter Dutton lays down an offence on a number of topics including tax and the recent arrival of asylum seekers in Broome.

The Prime Minister told Gary Adshead onĀ 6PR Mornings he understood concerns that WA’s earnings from the GST were under pressure, but the need for equitable distribution was more important.

“No, exclamation mark; the confirmation of this is that we went through all this in Cabinet in December,” Mr Albanese said.
