“Offensive to some Australians”: Greens leader controversial move
Greens leader Adam Bandt has sparked a fiery debate after his team controversially removed the Australian flag out of shot before he held a press conference on Monday.
Mr Bandt justified his refusal to stand in front of the Australian flag, saying the country has work to do on racism, and that the symbol is hurtful to many Indigenous Australians.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islands flags remained.
Oliver Peterson spoke with Harold Scruby, Executive Director of AusFlag to discuss the flag wars going on in Australia.
