Opposition: ‘it was a damning day for this government’
The state opposition is calling on health minister Roger Cook to resign after a damning report into the death of Aishwarya Ashwath was tabled today.
The independent report found issues with under-staffing and under-resourcing at Perth Children’s Hospital on the night seven-year-old Aishwarya died of a bacterial infection in April.
Speaking with Oliver Peterson, opposition leader Mia Davies said they are very concerned about the conclusions made in the report.
“This has happened on this government’s watch.
“We need a refresh and we need the [health] minister to resign.”
