Parents of schoolgirl killed by a shark in Swan River share mournful tribute
The parents of a Perth schoolgirl killed by a shark in the Swan River on Saturday have paid tribute to their ‘happy and vibrant’ daughter.
16-year-old Stella Berry, a Year 11 student from Shenton College, was riding a jet ski with friends on the river before jumping in the water, where she was killed by a suspected bull shark.
It is the first fatal shark attack in the Swan River in 100 years.
